Donald Trump appeared in front of reporters on Friday morning who were questioned him about his racist remarks at a Martin Luther King Jr. event where he referred to countries such as Africa and Haiti as “shithole countries.” Might I also add that these comments were made on the 8 year anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Instead of answering the reporters questions, he acted like the true coward that he is and ran away.
Trump was leaving the room after signing a proclamation in honor of King before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is this coming Monday, when reporters were shouting questions at him from all angles. Instead of acknowledging any of them, he kept his head down and exited the room.
April Ryan, an African American journalist, yelled, “Mr. President, are you a racist?”
You could tell that Trump couldn’t get out of there fast enough. He was probably retreating to his safe zone – his residence- where he could shove as many cheeseburgers in his mouth in private to de-stress from, what he would have taken it as as attack from the “fake news” media.
Trump reportedly said, “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” referencing African countries, Haiti and El Salvador.
On Thursday night, White House spokesman Raj Shah did not deny the fact that the comments came from Trump, and then Trump released a couple of tweets that proved just how delusional he really is.
Trump tweeted, “Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said “take them out.” Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians.”
After signing MLK Day proclamation, Trump is asked by reporters, "Mr. President, will you give an apology for the statement yesterday? Mr President, did you refer to African nations as shitholes? Mr President, are you a racist?" pic.twitter.com/cvmkmaPI74
